An X-ray scattering study of Pt1−xVx alloys

Alloys of the Pt–V system between 0 and 11 at.% V have been investigated by X-ray scattering. The variation of lattice parameter with the nominal chemical composition was measured. The results show that the solute concentration in the range of 0–11 at.%V can be precisely determined by the X-ray scattering technique.
